22 folks from Calvary boarded Amtrak in Newark last week. It was a splendid day. While there was rain and hail in Newark, it was delightful in Washington. Folks did a variety of activities. Some spent all day in one museum, others stopped in multiple museums, and still others did museums and monuments and memorials.

We started with an early service on the lawn, shared an Easter breakfast together, and worshipped together in a full sanctuary complete with the baptism of two of our young people, a string quartet, soloist, piano/organ duet, and much more. He is risen!

This past weekend we celebrated Palm Sunday with a fun-filled afternoon including a palm processional, lunch, and hands-on crafts for all ages.

Last Sunday, we enjoyed amazing food and fellowship at our 2nd annual Soul Food Luncheon. Thanks to all who helped and prepared food. We were also blessed in worship by the talent of the Solace Gospel Dance Team.

This past weekend 19 students and 5 adults from Calvary participated in our region’s winter snow tubing retreat at Camp Ichthus in Palmerton PA. After having to postpone for ice and snow, a great group of women gathered on Saturday for their next devotional luncheon, led and organized by Pam Hart. Pam brought a message about hope and attendees left with full bellies, hopeful souls, and handmade crafts.

On Sunday January 21, Calvary members gathered for the first annual Meal & Memories program. It was a time to share table fellowship and remember those who have gone home to the Lord, especially those within the last year, as well as those who may not have had a service which Calvary members could attend.
